Shangri La Botanical Gardens is a 252-acre oasis created by H.J. Lutcher Stark over 60 years ago. Today it an educational center full of life! Visitors start at the Exhibit Hall where they learn of the history of the gardens through interactives, and view the heronry through the Tiller Camera on the houseboat.

In the Orientation Theater, the story tells of H.J. Lutcher Stark's dream and legacy. At the end of the show, the screen and shades rise to reveal the beautiful grounds that are Shangri La.
